Planet Fitness reports its financial numbers under three segments: Franchise, Corporate-Owned Stores, and Equipment. The Franchise segment is involved in franchising business in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada, the Dominican Republic, and Panama. The segment generates revenues thorough royalty fees, franchise fees, placement revenue, other fees and commission income. The Corporate-Owned Store segment generates revenues through monthly membership charges, enrollment, annual and prepaid fees paid members, and retail sales.
